Getty ImagesAs we reported earlier Thursday night, Raiders free agent defensive end Matt Shaughnessy is visiting the Cardinals.
Another team is also slated to host him.
Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans are expected to have Shaughnessy in for a visit this weekend. The visit, as Wyatt noted, is tied to whether Shaughnessy leaves without signing a deal with Arizona.
Per Pro Football Focus, Shaughnessy graded out well vs. the run a season ago, ranking 11th in that category. However, he notched but 3.5 sacks. That said, the 26-year-old Shaughnessy, who’s No. 90 on PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100, did record seven sacks in 2010.
The Titans have a 4-3 base defense, just like the Raiders did in 2012. The Cardinals will employ the 3-4. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Shaughnessy’s stoutness would lend itself to the end position in a “30” front, and he could always play outside — or perhaps even tackle on passing downs — on a four-player line.

I’d prefer to see the Titans go after Dumervil or draft Mingo.
Shaughnessy is solid.
He’s an Al Davis pick that will be in the league for ten years.
And my Raider faithful turn their tail under and run. First comes the trial and the tribulations, then the blessings. A mans character is shown in the face of advetsity and obviousely all that have up and turned their back on us will not reap the rewards soon enough. Trust that and tell me im wrong. Any more Raider runners, if so, get stepping! Money is not everything when it comes to integrity and loyalty to a tram that has been to you!
What did that guy say?
