The Titans have already spent $88.5 million on free agents and they aren’t done trying to find more players to take their cash.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that linebacker Brad Jones is visiting the Titans on Friday. Jones started 10 games for the Packers in 2012, recording 77 tackles and two sacks after moving inside to help replace the injured Desmond Bishop and D.J. Smith. His play picked up as the season went along and he was a valuable piece on the Packers defense down the stretch.

His experience at outside linebacker before 2012 makes versatility a selling point for Jones. His agent said earlier this week that eight teams were in contact with him during the negotiating window that preceded free agency while Wyatt writes that “several” teams are pursuing the four-year veteran.

The Titans signed linebacker Moise Fokou earlier this week to compete with Colin McCarthy in the middle. Whether Jones would enter that mix or kick back outside is a question that will only be answered if he winds up accepting an offer from the team. Either way, he’d be a fit for a team looking to upgrade its talent all over the field.
