The Browns are going to get stuck with all these stiffs they signed and RH will leave them after one season stuck w/ this 3/4 defense.

Why is everyone so hard on Weeden, if he was 23 as most 2nd yr QBs are or if he was drafted any other draft class, he would be looked at as a pretty good QB, think about the other rookies, Luck is the best QB coming out of college possibly ever, RG3 had a system created around him and his strengths, Wilson had the best overall team and everything opened up to him due to the great running game and O-Line, and Tannehill wasn’t that impressive, he was very conservative. Weeden was a square peg being shoved into the system of a coach who is possibly the least innovative coach I’ve ever seen, with a rookie WR, RB, RT, also 2nd yr WR, all leads to low chance to succeed, we spent a first rd pick on the guy, the least we can do is give home a fair shot with a good coach and a system that fits his strengths, plus the WRs should be much improved this season, think about it, don’t get Mallet, Billichek is a QB drafting nightmare who shops them at way above what their market value is, other than Brady has never drafted a great QB, look at Cassel as an example, and he had more exp than Mallet does.

I love all the haters on this site, I swear you sound like 75 year olds talking about legalizing pot, always negatives, this is a young talented team that finally has a coach who is good at utilizing his roster to their strengths, not fitting players to the system, we added a couple players in free agency to bring our defense from a good 4-3 defense, to a top 5 3-4 disruptive defense, we also are going to have a run heavy vertical passing offense that fits a QB going into only his 2nd year, weeden has a better chance to succeed in this system than anyone in the market or draft, I believe this team is heading in the right direction, we have a good proven president, a passionate owner, a coach who has been very intuitive with his offenses since starting OC jobs,and IMO its a great plus that he always has loved the Browns, plus a great DC and OC w head coaching exp., the only person in the current organization that the jury is out on is Lombardi, and with such great people around him, he should succeed, I’m very excited for this season!!

It’s great to see the browns put together a solid coaching staff, and what appears to be one of the best front seven defenses in the making. The silly fans of the other afc north teams psoting on here are proving they are actually indimidated and jealous, as they see the browns stockpiling talent, as their teams are rapidly losing talent or not making any moves to ugrade. Look for the browns to make a big jump this year and atop the afc north for years to come. steelers, ravens, you had your good runs be grateful and live in the past, bengals, well they’ll alwyas be the bengals, decent ,but never good enough to get past the first round wildcard playoff game, until Brwon sell the team , or marvin lewis is fired look for the bungles to just be average. So browns fans, unite, the future is bright, the rest of you, please don’t hate, just appreciate being able to watch firsthand, a dynasty in the making.

The Rat-Turds had to mortgage the whole farm on keeping Flaccid and as a result just about every key player from the 2012 campaign had to take a hike….lets see Boldin, Reed, Ellerbe, Krueger all gone. Without Boldin to rescue his sorry behind Joe Flaccid true colors as a $120,000,000 mediocre QB will be there for all to laugh at. I laughing hardest when the resurgent Browns wipe the field with the Ratbirds.

I’m watching as the DE’s, CB’s, FS’s, TE’s, and WR’s get signed and where are the Browns?

If you’re a longtime Browns fan as I am, you’ve heard all this before. Talk is cheap. Let’s see some improvement in the won-lost column before we pat ourselves on the back. And since we still don’t have a real NFL QB, I’m not convinced we’ll see any measurable improvement this year.

Cleveland didnt overpay for Kruger I’d say if he provides 10 sacks or close to it that 8 million a year isn’t too shabby. Considering Browns have paid worse players more money (Gary Baxter,Jake Delhomme, Ted Washington)

1. The deal we got Paul at is cheaper than what the experts predicted!
2. Weeden will surprise you guys this year in a vertical pass game. He isn’t built for the west coast. Wait and see!
3. Baltimore is retarded for giving Flaco that kind of money. Simply because he sucks and we will see that this year. When no one will be able to catch his ducks out of the air!
4. Out defense last year was right in line with Baltimores on almost every stat category. Then we didn’t lose any key players and added 2 upgrades and 1 player who knows Horton’s system.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Browns make a solid improvement next year in the win column. If they can find any type of solution to their QB’s performing at a higher level, they could easily improve from 5-11 to 8-8 next year.

Cleveland still has to score points to win, right? I mean, I thought offense and QB still took snaps and stuff. Did the competition committee do away with scoring points? Talking smack after a decade in the cellar when Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and yes, Cincy have managed to make the playoffs or go .500 over the past few years is impressive. Kind of like predicting you’ll win the SuperBowl 3 years in a row and failing. Roethlisberger, Flacco and Dalton are no Brandon Weeden, I know, but they’ve managed to do some good things in the league. Playoffs, Super Bowls, throw more passes to their own teammates rather than to other teams and such. Perhaps paying a guy $40 mil and making him the De Facto leader of an already decent defense is a good idea, especially when he’s only on the field about 15 snaps a game. About as wise as drafting a 28 year old rookie to lead your offense.
