APWith only two cornerbacks under contract for next season, the Jacksonville Jaguars needed to bolster their numbers in the defensive backfield.
They took a first step in doing so by re-signing one of their own on Thursday. According to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars re-signed Antwaun Molden to a one-year veteran minimum deal.
Molden appeared in just three games for the Jaguars last season and made just one tackle largely only serving in special teams duty. Mike Harris and Kevin Rutland are the only other cornerbacks currently under contract with the Jaguars for next season.

Championship! !!!!
Jags sign Molden!
Super Bowl here we come. Just supply the Cheerios
Who? Oh lawd, we have 3 nickel backs. What are we doing? Hopefully Xavier Rhodes somehow falls to pick 33. Our team was full of unrecognizable players to the rest of the country last year, I guess they figure why not do it to the home crowd as well. I hope you know what you’re doing Caldwell!
speaking of dream teams
Looks like stud CB Dee Milliner out of ‘bama is a real possibility at #2 overall….
I dream we have a team
Another ground breaker for Caldwell. The bad news jags.
If the resigning of Molden, with all of the other talent available in the market, doesn’t scream “Superbowl”, I don’t know what does. Jacksonville really has their team on the right track.
WOW…..!
This headline makes me think of the classic quote from Major League:
“Who are these #$%^$ guys?”
You mean all the overpriced, soon-to-be-over-the-hill talent? When you need help in so many areas, blowing your budget on talent that’ll be gone in a few years when (hopefully) things start clicking is just plain stupid.
It must get confusing if Jacksonville plays San Francisco and Antwaun Molden has to cover Anquan Boldin.
@process,
Read anything about what caldwells game plan is? No? Yeah, didn’t think so.
The Jags are moving to Montana soon, Khan wants to be a dental floss tycoon.
Well we fixed the Defense, time to work on who will play Quarterback.
