The Raiders don’t need Geno, they need offensive linemen who can block for the quarterbacks we already have. Tyrelle Pryor is our rising young star and unlike Jerky Boy Russell he’s learning the NFL system by being a backup to some great USC QB’s.

I hope the Raiders use their third pick wisely and get a quality athlete who can fill a need. A sturdy running back who can last a whole season would be awesome. Or a great wide receiver would be a help as well as better blockers.

Go Raiders!!! Draft Wisely!!!

Raiders leverage with that third pick keeps on building. Bills, Jets, Cardinals and Eagles will all be calling Reggie to see whats up with the third overall pick.

If this was about Viennese violins, no doubt you’d reply with the Jets contained in the body of same.

When Alex Smith was traded to KC and I suggested that they were getting their ducks in a row to trade down out of the first pick, I had guys coming out of the woodwork to tell me I was crazy.

Now it is looking like there will be enough interest in Geno that they might be able to trade out of 1 and still get Joeckel in the first round, as well as offsetting the the lost picks in the Smith trade.

Jets are in BIG trouble, I wonder what their plan is, do they have a identity. I can’t understand why a football franchise would just wash away an entire year, this team can compete as constructed and I don’t see them picking enough talent in the draft to play winning football.

They said 28 teams sent scouts to watch the Pro day. Who were the 3 teams no there? West Virginia has other good players working out too. Anyone know who the 3 teams were?

He will be a solid player but perhaps not right away. Not sure who he compares to though, perhaps Jim Kelly? Jim was just before my time so I could be way off base but from what i remember the skill set seems similar.

You all do realize that there is no guarantee that the teams he is available to will be in position to draft a better one next year. Take a top talent when you can. Which will be early based on other available players. But nonetheless they have no choice but to take a qb when they can. Use logic not rankings. Couple that logic with the fact of slotted payscales and the reality that corner backs (for example) aren’t getting paid in free agency means that it is hard to stomach milliner at the rate an early draft position would put him. Thus, offensive tackles and d lineman and qbs will be taking early. Money matters. All that said he is a top 5 pick guaranteed.
