Getty ImagesThe 49ers need a replacement for safety Dashon Goldson. They’ve shifted from higher-profile candidates like Charles Woodson and Louis Delmas to lesser-known Craig Dahl.
Per Howard Balzer, via the San Francisco Chronicle, the 49ers have brought in Dahl for a visit.
Dahl started 16 games for the Rams in 2012 and 13 in 2010. He spent four years with the Rams.
Delmas has re-signed with the Lions; it’s unclear whether Woodson will sign with the 49ers.

With Huff not getting any looks on the FA market I have to believe that Big Reg is working on bringing him back at healthy discount.
Good.
You mean Micheal Wiff. Good keep him.
Revis on the teade market and 49ers got a lot of draft picks
As a Ram’s fan all I can say is if they sign him, he would he would help the Ram’s more next year then he did the last 2.
As a Rams fan, I think this would be an excellent signing for the Niners!
Won’t anyone sign on with the Niner secondary? C’mon now!
Huff, Woodson and or Asomugha are on the table and we bring in who?
Personally can’t stand the niners but seriously, you don’t want this guy
Why bring in a player that would have zero chance of making the final 53? Head scratcher.
Just sign Ed reed n Dahl as back up call it a day
Man since we didn’t sign Dashon I’ve been tripping!! Then I was thinking maybe Delmas wouldn’t be bad but he signed! Damn I don’t like Woodson he’s older and has lost a step.. I’d rather get Reed I guess! And draft one… Sad to to see GOLD SON leave…. GO NINERS
Dahl led the league in tackling……the air
@Richiedean49, it doesn’t mean that anyone wanna sign with the Niners, it just the 49ers don’t sign players right away, they want to meet with with them first, before deciding who they want, sometime that’s not good because they will sign with another team
Besides I don’t like that player
Rooney rule…. oh wait.
Please sign him san fransisco, he will be such a difference maker for the rest of the nfc west when they play you
With Harvin and their new defensive lineman, Seattle is the team to beat! Was the best team at the end of the year, last year, only circumstances led to their earlier exit. Homefield advantage works their way, 8-0, then go on the road and go 6-2. Trouble of a team. Might run away with it!!!!
Clearly the Niners are looking to rebuild the secondary via the draft. That is why the won’t give the big $$$ to any of the available DBs out there. You can plug holes via free agency but if you are smart you build and sustain a team through the draft. Keep being smart Niners!
Cheap a$$ niners. hairbough’s head is about to explode.

Man, mjkelly, your infatuation with Harbaugh is a little frightening…every time there is a post about the 9ers, you can’t help but show up with a “hairbough” comment. What is “hairbough” even supposed to mean?
Hail the Bison!
