I’ve always thought highly of Wilson. The minute he was cut I was hoping the Pats would give him a look. Thanks to all the classy AZ fans who wished him well here. Speaks a lot about the type of man AW is.

Correction: Tannehill has already proven that he eats blitzs for breakfast. He was one of the top ranked QB against the blitz. You don’t watch much inner division football based on your comments… how typical from the front running fanbase.

Thank God Wilson got the heck out of AZ. Talk about a team going nowhere!!! The Jets might even have better qb’s than AZ. Fitzgerald should hold out until that sorry ass team finds someone who can actually throw a football! Put AZ, Balt and the Jets rosters together and you might be able to field a team that can compete in some league…CFL, maybe.

He’s not, really. He’s a dedicated worker, has a vision on how to run a team, and implements it.

When it doesn’t work out, he doesn’t waver. Chalk it up to experience and stay the course.

Cards fans – hopefully the Pats can get your boy AW a ring next year. Lord knows I was rooting like crazy for you guys after L-Fitz scored that TD against the Steelers in the SB. Still can’t believe they let Ben score 1st and 20 from the 10, but hey, Eli did worse to us TWICE! Genius? Adalius Thomas, Joseph Addai, Joey Galloway, Ocho Cinco, Fred Taylor and the list goes on. Every time the Patriots get a big named free agent that is supposed to be a game changer they end up a bust. I don’t see how you Pats fans can get excited about a SS on the wrong side of 30, with that track record.

They need him to cover shorter routes over the middle and light guys up, playing that hybrid SS/LB role. He’s perfect for that at his age.

As a Cardinal fan I wish A-Dub the best. He was a great leader and was a Cardinal fan favorite. Unfortunately, with age, the injury bug caught up a couple of years ago and his play vastly declined last year. I would love to see him get another chance at a Superbowl. Good luck with the Pats A-Dub. You will be missed.

No nflguru, Pats fans aren’t still sensitive about losing to the cards, I forgot all about that blip on the radar watching the Pats in the AFC Championship game. Haters like to remember the times the Pats whiffed on guys like Lynch and Haynesworth. The thing about it is the Pats usually bring these guys in on the cheap or low-risk contracts, they don’t care. It pays off more often with guys like Bobby Hamilton, Brian Cox, Roman Phifer, Ted Washington, RHarrison, Brian Waters, Andre Carter, etc. Little pieces that play small roles that help the Pats beat your teams and remain SB contenders yr after year. Sometimes these veterans get rejuvenated for one more swing at the ring. It’s good business. If it doesn’t work out, they’re quick to cut their losses.

Pneck, you have it right on the money. First and foremost Wilson will provide some experience and leadership the Pats secondary sorely needs. But beyond that Wilson gives the Pats a physical presence that the Pats have sorely missed since Rodney retired. A true run stopping SS who can blitz.

I think the Pats will use him at SS on first downs and run situations, and then use him against TE’s as a coverage LB in man and cover 2. He might have slowed down for DB, but he’d be a fast coverage LB.

He’s probably not a 3 down safety anymore, but he could be a big help if he’s played in situations where he can play to his strengths and protect him from his weaknesses.
