All the players the Packers have lost in FA were expendable…. The Packers need linemen. Lots of ‘em…. That’s what the draft is for.

How the Packers fare next year will depend on how well they draft, not what happens in FA.
Trouble is, the Packers have lost some of their better staff when it comes to drafting well.

I disagree with you, just on grading a draft after one season. I mean GB picked up a DL LB and DB.

They all showed promise a little raw unfortunetly some have injuries to recover from. I believe they have talent, but it takes time and coaching to develop, They can all be steady starters in 2 years, or less.

The Vikings fans come out in droves then.

Get it thru your heads: packers fans don’t care that you signed Jennings. Most logical Packers fans aren’t talking the dude down. He is a good player when he’s on the field. We understand that he will help Ponder’s progression.

Quit trying to make it seem like all Packers fans are butt hurt.

I have the Pack in the basement of the NFC North at 6-10 next year. Until they get players, they will stay in that basement.

Listen my friend, this is not Madden 13. The players that have left during Free Agency we available because the Packers DECIDED not to extend or match offers…which makes them expendable to the team. If you have been paying attention to what goes on in Green Bay during all the years Ted Thompson has been the GM, this is par for course. Free Agency is not a priority for him, or the team. Sorry no big bank breaking signings have happened and they won’t. Trust me me that’s a good thing. 6-10, that’s laughable, and not going to happen (barring a season ending injury to Rodgers).

If your a Packers fan, enjoy the team for what it is, and stop letting the media/video games sour your experience.

Its not just this year, its every year. I think Woodson was the last marquee name they signed.

Other than that he picks up a few spots where depth is needed.

I’m ok with it, I believe giving FAs big contracts lead them to being cut a 3 seasons or so anyway.

He does an great job of drafting no one ever bats 100% though, and then after the draft he can find some solid players with upside like Sam Shields.

It was a bad move to not pay Bennett like the top-tier pass rusher that he isn’t? Yes, he took $5 mil from Seattle, but he didn’t want to come back at a reasonable price after we “insulted” him.

And Miller is suddenly an indispensable asset after one solid season? C’mon…

We signed a blocking tight end to fill a need. What exactly is the issue?

TT is saving cap space for the Matthews, Cobb, jones, raji, and new Rodgers contracts. That’s why they are cheating out this year.

I respect greg jennings he took the money as all of us would.. Packers will be laughing when we have all are franchise stars loacked up and the rest of you off season champs in 1-2 years are in salary cap hell….

Everyone in the NFC is improving… Niners and Seahawks are looking downright scary. Packers are crumbling (voluntarily). They are going to get their pansy asses kicked next year.

I hear that every year from someone who hates that GB is a winning franchise. Be realistic about GBs losses in FA. They have not lost one player or released one player that they don’t have a better player waiting to take the spot.

GBs offseason moves will actually make them better. They will steal a solid RB in the 2nd round in the draft and address their run game. Their D is actually pretty good if they didn’t have to play 40 minutes out of 60. Runing game evens up the TOP.

I think Thompson trades the 1st rounder for a 2nd and a 3rd or 4th and he will get quality players in those spots. Anyway, the list goes on and on about why no one should worry about GB losing pace in the NFC. Look no further than every other roster in the NFL to see how good GB is at developing players.

Green Bay is deep with Offensive talent. The management in Green Bay has an absolute death grip on their draft and develope scheme. It seems like 1/4 of the players in the league started in GB. I know that isn’t the case, but there seems to be at least one ex-Packer on every teams roster, and teams would love to pick clean the back-ups there. Green Bay has many back-up players that could start for a lot of NFL teams. Thompson is a genius when it comes to developing talent.

Ted has no money for FA. Ted has no money for low first round draft picks, the guys who can come in and make a difference.

Ted has no money to keep players but only ask them to play for less.

Oh, it can get a lot worse. Brad Jones, Sheilds, EDS, Findley (I think they keep him) could all be picked up in the restricted free agent market in the next two weeks.

Thus, they lose there only center, one of their best D backs, one of their best linebackers, their best tight end and they have a whopping 7 late round draft choices.

Could be a disasterous two weeks for the Pack.

Myers would be a perfect fit. A little known guy outside of fantasy and Raider Nation, so Ted could probably get him on the cheap.
