Not so fast my friend…Manny hasnt signed anything.

but how is Sanders going to put up bigger numbers in NE?

He’d be what, their 4th receiving option? The Steelers as recently as 2011 had two 1000 yard receivers, and Sanders is slated to be their #2.

Unless he all of a sudden becomes Welker incarnate, that aint happening- and didnt the Pats just sign Amendola to replace Welker anyway?

Its a shame to see him go , but he will put up bigger numbers with Brady most likely, considering the fact BB and the offensive coordinator know how to get the ball to play makers when it matters.

Addressing the article: Reports are all different in the past 30 minutes! Some say he signed, others he didn’t sign…or he might sign. I’ll wait until Sanders or the Steelers announce it. If Sanders signed, the Steelers have 5 days to match. It’s on Sanders to tell them, then the clock starts.

Regardless of Sanders shipping out or staying in town, I really hope the Steelers are taking a nice long look at Tavon Austin. Maybe a more durable version of Harvin, and the Steelers could definitely use the explosiveness. Would immediately add to the offense and special teams.

That trade would make sense for both teams. Cards won’t win for at least 3 years, time to rebuild

Wonder if Steelers first pick in the draft would be a receiver, or they could try offer some picks to the Cards for fitz. Fitz , Brown & Miller would be nice.

I am a huge steelers fan. Even though steelers fans are dedicated and loyal as hell, I have a feeling you are just a troll who embarrasses your own fan-base. Nobody in Pittsburgh would be happy is we lost another young talent, especially since we didnt get Wallace a contract. Plax, Cotchery, and Brown would result in brown getting double teamed and the other two not being able to get separation. Be a fan, but be realistic. Dont be a jackass and mention “infinite wisdom” “wisdom” was lacking when we signed our over 30s to massive contracts

I hope the Steelers don’t match New England’s offer. Sanders is average at best. Too many drops and fumbles. The Steelers need a monster draft, so I think gaining an extra 3rd round pick is huge.

Talk about renewing your receiver corp! So they are set on offence (minus a few extra linemen). But what about there secondary. They only have Dennard and Arrington as CB’s. That aint stopping anybody.

Burress and Cotchery would be solid WRs if it were 2007 instead of 2013.

Sanders is a pretty good player and I am inclined to believe he would put up bigger numbers in the Patriots’ offense.

As a Browns fan, it is nice to see this exodus of talent from the AFC North powerhouses. Let’s hope New England can steal him away.

Does hurt us if we do not match the pats offer. He was a good young player despite dropping the ball at 2 critical times at the worst moment of the game. Good move on the patriots side. it could be worse, we could be the RAVENS……..and down go the RAVENS!

OK..hate to see Manny go..but ill gladly take another 3rd round pick…Still think we needa go WR in Rnd 1..Can’t waste that pick on a LB or DB that wont play for 2 years then leave when his contract is up and we refuse to pay him..Offense 1st and 2nd use the 2 #3s on defense. 4-7 is a crap shoot!

Nice move by the Patriots, now they can focus on the D if this works. Re-sign Talib, who is loved in NE for his play last year, to a behavior-based contract and pair him with Adrian Wilson along with McCourty, a re-signed Kyle Arrington and their #1, be it Trufant, Banks or an Alec Ogletree and the D is on the way up there.
