Ryan Fitzpatrick may be heading back to Cincinnati.

Fitzpatrick, the quarterback who was released by the Bills last week, met with the Bengals at the league meeting in Arizona, according to Bengals.com.

Andy Dalton is the established starter in Cincinnati, but the Bengals would like to add a veteran backup. Last year’s backup, Bruce Gradkowski, has signed with the Steelers.

Fitzpatrick spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons in Cincinnati, and the team’s website notes that he’s well liked by owner Mike Brown, head coach Marvin Lewis and quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese. Signing him back as the No. 2 behind Dalton would make a lot of sense for the Bengals.
