This seems to be taking a long time to get done, no local reporting here in PHX actually talking about this deal other then it being mentioned on here and nationally.

The Cards didn’t bring back Stephens-Howling, and he also couldn’t stay healthy, there is no reason NOT to bring in another return weapon to help the team in the KR (and possibly PR) game.

This pick up makes no sense to me for Arizona. Coming from a Browns fan I have witnessed Cribbs do close to nothing for us for the last two years. He would be the fourth best option at WR behind Fitz, Roberts, and Floyd. And the second best return guy on the team. Unless they’re signing him to be their next QB (lol) I don’t see why they would want him.

If he signs with the Cards, Cribbs will be run ragged returning kick-offs, perhaps punts since Peterson has regressed under Whisenhunt, play receiver on some plays, and perhaps run the read-option since he is now the declared “second best passer on the team” per Florio’s self-pronounced wisdom.

Joshua Cribbs was a bright spot on the Browns’ roster, and some years he was one of a very small number of bright spots. I wish him well.

You know, Cards, if you just go ahead and move to Youngstown or Columbus, it would save you a lot of money bringing in the entire AFC North’s free agent list for visits/physicals.

Oh man, I am sorry to hear that Cribbs. I was really hoping a good team would find a use for you and you could get to the playoffs. But the Cardinals? What a shame.

I guess it can’t be worse than playing for Romeo Crennel or Pat Shurmur though.
