Let the Saints overpay for him. He could be a solid starter for the Niners playing behind a loaded front seven, but Trent Baalke is not one to overspend for free-agents. I see the Niners looking to improve their secondary through the draft. Perhaps Nnamdi would fit well with the Saints and Rob Ryan, I see him ending up there.

Eagles fans always mention nnamdi being burned, well its pretty easy to be burned when you run a zone and the safety is ALWAYS out of place.

I would rather draft Trufant or Rhodes but I think Nnamdi would actually be a good fit with the niners. He can’t be any worse than Rogers. Sure there were times he was in man and struggled but lets face facts. Eagles don’t have the niners front 7 and they had an O-line coach for Dcord

Hey Twilight, You should do some research before you comment. All the “big” names they signed before the 2011 season have pretty much been cut or not resigned. Not just Asomugha.

I like who the Eagles have been signing. We need people that want to play on our team, not divas who just want a paycheck. The “Dream Team” was an epic fail, we get it. Time to move on.

Hey I don’t care what anybody says this guy was an all-pro at one time.Not just once either.I’m an Eagles fan and from the get go things were screwed up.Nnamdi is best at man-press coverage and they had him in zones plus you had an offensive guy as the defensive coordinator.I would give this guy another chance in a different system for the right price.

No one on that defense did anything this year, you fired your coaching staff and none of your free agents – except, ironically… the cut Asomugha – are in demand. Maybe it wasn’t just the one guy?

P.S. at least you’re signing all kinds of free agents – that worked out pretty well last time, right?

He needs to be on a defense that can get a lot of pressure on the QB. I don’t know if Rob Ryan’s defense will do that. 49ers are a much better option if he wants to have a solid season. He got picked apart last season in coverage.

Two years ago Nnamdi did the same thing and held a couple of teams “over the barrel.” Considering his age, this is probably his last contract and this seems like a “Money grab.” Let him go play for the CFL…I’m sure the Hamilton Tiger-Cats would love to hame him!

SF is going to draft their backfield this year. I can’t see SF trying as hard as other teams, since I think their interest is so-so.

If he is cheap enough, I hope the 9ers take a flier on Asomugha. However, they shouldn’t overpay him; he looked wasted in Philly…let the Saints have him if they are inclined to overpay him.

I think SF would be abetter fit for him; the Saints defense is always transitioning it seems. Asomugha will get a lot more help in SF. Both teams are good choices for him though if he wants to win; make no mistake, the Saints will bounce back this year. SF is in better position, but the Saints will regain their 2011 form.
