Release him and sign a cheaper, younger backup. Fitzpatrick is a good option although he may want to wait around and find a team he has a better chance of starting for. The Cards would be one place. Even Cleveland would be a good option as well. I don’t think he could beat out Kevin Kolb, but the Jets are a good option as well. Fitzpatrick shouldn’t settle for a backup role; even though I think he is a backup.
