Here’s the thing about Cribbs, his best offensive season was with Eric Mangini who is a coach who specializes in getting great production out of players you would never think you could get that production out of. (look at the drop off in “skill” of his players once he left Jets and Browns and the “much better” coaches took over).

With that being said Cribbs is not a very good receiver and the one NFL game he started at QB he was horribly inaccurate but he could probably be a VERY good running back. He always got good yardage if he got the ball in the backfield while in motion. I would go as far to say that he would be a huge upgrade for the Cardinals at running back.

It’s an opportunity he would never get in Cleveland outside of Mangini as running back has never been a need for them during his time.

As a Browns fan i know, you will see cribbs line up a reciever a few times, he will run awful routes and droip balls then he’ll be benched on complain that he is not being used properly thank god hes gone, overrated kick return ( i think he last touchdown was 2009) and awful reciever

Dude he made a lot of really acrobatic and tough catches. Some of those were for tds. The browns certainly could have performed better on the field if he was used in more bubble screen situations, etc.

Speaking as a Cardinals fan….I’m willing to trust BA, at the very least it seems like he has a plan he’s following.

That said……I haven’t heard a peep out of any other team being interested in Cribbs.

Bruce Arians earned a Super Bowl ring as an offensive coordinator. The Ravens didn’t earn their last Super Bowl ring until they fired Cam Cameron as offensive coordinator. Big difference.

Ok here’s the reality: Cribbs played for 3 different regimes. He played on a Cleveland team that has been absolutely STARVED of QB and WR talent. Now if NONE of the GMs/HCs/OCs in any of those regimes saw any potential in this guy as a legitimate NFL caliber WR doesn’t it stand to reason that they’d play him? Cribbs was a Special Team stud. Nothing more. I wish him the best.

Cribbs was extremely under utilized here in Cleveland. Why they never put the QB in motion and let him throw the ball I will never know? The new offenses that are going to dominate the NFL are going to make todays “cut and paste” scemes look laughable.

The more news BA makes in the off season, the more anxious I am to see what he does with the Cardinals in 2013. It’s a difficult assignment, given the QB limitations, but Arians makes the prospects exciting.
