APThe slower-than-expected (at least by them) market for free agent defensive ends is starting to pick up.
With Dwight Freeney and John Abraham in Denver, Giants free agent defensive end Osi Umenyiora’s finally on the move too.
According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, Umenyiora visited the Falcons today. There was an earlier report that the Dolphins had some interest, but this is his first trip.
While there’s no deal at the moment, Umenyiora seemed like a solid fit for the Falcons after they released Abraham, and there was plenty of talk around the league connecting the two.
Now, we’ll see if they make a connection.

Sign him!!!!!!!
They would actually be getting younger at the position vs Abraham.
Leaving the NFC East and the land of mobile QBs for the pocket passer division, he’ll have 15 sacks for Atl. They should have signed him yesterday.
2x Big Blue champion.
falcons are buying all the old hasbins.
Sign this man……and bring back Abe too
Prepare for him to be hurt for most of the year and get burned on the run plays when he does play.
How about you actually draft a pass rusher instead of settling on these retreads?
osi will work but in a 3-4game I like harrison better for a yr plus our draft..brings attitude
Abraham has been the only good DE in Atlanta since Patrick Kerney left FIVE years ago. Bring back Abraham at a bargain price if possible, bring in Osi for the 1-2 punch to start out the games & develop the draft pick from this coming draft to learn from the vets. Or just go after Elvis.
I want to see how hard he’s going to work after getting paid.
