Mike Florio and CSN’s Moon Mullin, discusses the decision by the Chicago Bears to part ways with veteran linebacker Brian Urlacher. It’s rare for a big name like Urlacher to face this type of scenario, but it’s even rarer for a team to quickly end a situation like this.

Why are so many people trying to make this a bigger deal than it is? The 2 million offer was generous in my opinion. Urlacher was a great player in Chicago, but after last year it was clear he has become a shell of his former self. As a fan of the Chicago Bears I prefer for my team to make smart football decisions like this.
