APWith 19 interviews from the past three days, it’s hard to keep all of the information straight. At times, the overload makes it hard to remember left from right.
The Chiefs won’t have that problem with left tackle Branden Albert. Because he won’t be moving to the right side.
Coach Andy Reid said so during a visit to the mobile, open-air, Arizona Pro Football Talk studio.
“He’s done it and he’s done it at a very high level,” Reid said. “Enough to where we [franchise] tagged him. I loved him coming out of the University of Virginia and I’ve watched him throughout his career at Kansas City and he’s a proven left tackle in this league. That doesn’t mean he can’t play other things but that’s what he is.”
Albert will be happy to hear that, given that he has made his preference very clear.
Then again, he may be playing left tackle for someone else. Now that he has signed his franchise tender, Albert can be traded.

Does anybody really believe ANYTHING Andy Reid says?
Which means he’ll be traded real soon. When Reid says something ALWAYS expect the opposite.
if they were to trade Alberts and draft a LT with the first pick, wouldn’t that make that pick usuelss? since really you wouldn’t be upgrading..
“That doesn’t mean he can’t play other things…”
Mike, did you miss this part of the quote? Andy isn’t saying he’ll play LT for sure. He’s left the door open for a move to RT…

Andy Reid-speak Translation: (from an Eagles fan that just finished 14 years of Andy-Reid speak):
“Since we plan to take Luke Joeckel with the top pick, Branden is available for any sucker that
wants to part with a first round pick.”
Braden Albert is only a proven player is when he can stay healthy.
Albert to RT was always speculation, or “some have said”. Manufactured story for the offseason. If Chiefs draft LT, he’ll be RT year 1, or trade Albert.
Yeah Kolb was a proven QB too
