A day after one of the Ravens’ starting safeties from last season, Ed Reed, signed with the Texans, the Ravens’ other starting safety last season has also signed with a new team: Bernard Pollard is heading to Tennessee.
“I’ve agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Titans,” Pollard told Josina Anderson of ESPN.
The 28-year-old Pollard started every game he played for the Ravens last season (13 in the regular season and four in the postseason), but the Ravens decided he wasn’t worth the money -- and maybe not worth the headaches.
Before playing the last two seasons with the Ravens, Pollard played two with the Texans and two with the Chiefs. He’s been a starter in every stop. In Tennessee he joins a secondary that has also added free agent safety George Wilson this offseason to go along with incumbent starter Michael Griffin.
