The last paragraph of Mike’s commentary leads me to this thought. What about the fans? What about fans who participate in dynasty fantasy football?

As the league coordinates an overall reduction in the number of perhaps over-paid but certainly our favorite team players, they are moving more and more of our favorites away from our teams.

The ultimate result of the market “correction” will be more parity across salaries on any given team except for the top quarterbacks, but during the course of the correction we can expect to see more and more of our favorite players leaving our teams as the pro game becomes even more like the college game where roster turnover is constant.
