The Bills haven’t been shy about their desire to find a quarterback to build their offense around and they aren’t being shy about kicking the tires of candidates for the job.

On the heels of news that E.J. Manuel of Florida State and Geno Smith of West Virginia will be visiting with the team comes word that Oklahoma’s Landry Jones is also on the radar. James Walker of ESPN.com reports that Jones will be in Buffalo to meet with the Bills this week as they continue the effort to find a quarterback other than Tarvaris Jackson to sit atop their depth chart.

Jones flashed a huge arm during a prolific career at Oklahoma, throwing for more than 4,000 yards in each of the last three seasons and finishing with 123 passing touchdowns. There have been questions about his accuracy and his erratic performances in big games, however, and that currently has Jones projected to be a mid-round draft pick come next month.

It just takes one team to see something for such projections to change, however. If Jones can show the Bills what they want, he could be a potential solution to the biggest need on the Bills roster.
