Tracy Porter visited the Saints

Interest in Broncos cornerback Tracy Porter is beginning to pick up.

After reported interest from the Raiders, he’s also made at least one visit.

According to Aaron Wilson of, Porter visited the Saints Monday but didn’t immediately sign a contract.

The Saints should be familiar, as he was their 2009 second-round pick and one of the heroes of their Super Bowl win over the Colts, with an interception return for a touchdown.

He spent last year in Denver on a one-year, $4 million contract, but might not reach that level this year. With teams concerned about the seizure symptoms that caused him to miss time last season, the physical is going to be a huge part of any trip he makes.

The Saints are still in on Nnamdi Asomugha, and Porter’s likely a Plan B if they don’t get him.

I liked Porter but after’09 his haircuts were more awesome than his cover skills.

BRING HIM BACK! Nnamdi Asomugha is good but Tracy knows the defense and is familiar with most of the players… seems like a better fit

Ah yes, a great moment for Tracy in the SuperBowl. But lest ye not forget his even greater moment in the NFC Championship Game two weeks earlier.

He picked off ol’ father time himself, Brett Farve, for the Saints FIFTH (yes, 5th) turnover that crushed the Vikings, who had run up and down the field on them all night long. That was the dagger that brought the Lombardi Trophy to N.O. Otherwise, it would probably be sitting in Minnesota at this very moment. So thank you, Tracy!

Tracy was solid player when he was with us, so may not be a bad idea to pick him back up dirt cheap pending he”s healthy. Also I think Vince Young if showing he still has a little left in him may not be a bad pick up to hold Brees clip board, I”m just saying.

I wonder if he’s still allergic to tackling….
