Porter visiting Raiders today, decision expected soon

Oakland Raiders Denarius Moore makes a 37 yard reception while being pressured Denver Broncos Tracy Porter during their NFL football game in Denver, Colorado Reuters

It appears to be close to decision time for Tracy Porter.

The free agent cornerback is visiting the Raiders today, according to Bill Williamson of ESPN.com, and a decision is expected soon.

Porter visited the Saints on Monday, though he could be more of a Plan B there if their pursuit of Nnamdi Asomugha doesn’t work out.

The Saints had previously signed cornerback Keenan Allen, but need plenty of help to fix the defense that gave up the most yards in league history last season.

The Raiders are trying to rebuild a defense as well, but haven’t addressed the secondary yet, and Porter would walk in the door an upgrade.

I believe you meant “signed cornerback Keenan Lewis.” Keenan Allen is the draft-eligible receiver from Cal.

Definitely need to add some CB depth fast…Phillip Adams, Brandon Ross, and Taiwan Jones (current depth chart) won’t cut it.

Haha, dude could barely get on the field for the Broncos last season. Yet he’s still probably the best cb Oakland has seen since Nnamdi left town. Commitment to excrement.

Sign him for the minimum Reggie. The Raiders need all the bodies they can find at CB.

I think Dennis Allen swings this towards the Raiders. If the seizure episode is a thing of the past he has the potential to be an absolute steal for the Raiders.

Don’t the raiders need to rebuild the WHOLE team?

It would be nice to see TP back in a Saints outfit. Remembering days from Super Bowl

come on Raider fans the kids name is BRANDIAN Ross, and he and Adams are held in fairly high regard in Oakland. Ross can play CB and FS and Chimdi is there also. I’d like to see one vet at CB and let Ross , Adams, Chimdi and Jones Lol…play it out for the other spots.
