The Redskins are being forced to shop selectively, and they’ve added a guy with some pass-rush potential from within the division.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, former Eagles defensive end Darryl Tapp has agreed to a one-year deal with the Redskins.

Tapp has 24.0 sacks in seven NFL seasons, and didn’t exactly fit the “bigger-is-better” profile new Eagles coach Chip Kelly wants on defense.

He’ll have to convert to a 3-4 set and find a niche as a reserve, but the former second-rounder has shown the ability to get to quarterbacks at times.
