Colts offensive lineman Jeff Linkenbach signed his one-year restricted free-agent tender on Thursday. The move was listed among the NFL’s official transactions, and the club also announced the move earlier in the day.
Linkenbach, 25, started four games at right tackle and four at left guard a season ago for Indianapolis. In 2011, Linkenbach started all 16 games and saw time at both tackle spots.
Linkenbach could figure as a reserve this season. The Colts added right tackle Gosder Cherilus and left guard Donald Thomas in free agency.
The Colts exercised their first-refusal rights with the 6-foot-6, 323-pound Linkenbach but would not have received a draft pick were he to have joined another club.
