Saints bring in Kenyon Coleman from Cowboys

The brand new Dallas-to-New-Orleans pipeline continues to push guys from Texas to New Orleans.

Earlier this week, linebacker Victor Butler jumped from the Cowboys to the Saints.  Now, defensive end Kenyon Coleman has joined a defense that will be run before former Cowboys coordinator Rob Ryan.

Coleman played for Ryan both in Dallas and in Cleveland.  A 15-game starter for the Cowboys in 2011, Coleman appeared in seven games with five starts last season.

Another unspectacular but solid signing, who will improve that defense.

Hope these are DALLAS diamonds cause their D looked a lil rough.

Shonn, if you want to kiss him, take his helmet off first.

Saints don’t need a top 5 defense. With that offense, they only need a 15-20 ranked D. But even that offense couldn’t overcome a 32 rank D in 2012. Coleman is just another piece to the puzzle on fixing the D.

Before? Before Bob Ryan does what? My bet is say something stupid that his defense won’t be able to back up.

So the Saints are pretty much guaranteed to be irrelevant for the foreseeable future too.

Man! Saints trying to do it on defense! It’s gonna be a crazy camp. Great job Loomis. Now if only Nnamdi gets out of his car….

Expect the Saints defense to be very different from last year’s. An angry and motivated Sean Payton will get even for being falsely accused.

Coleman has been in the NFL 13 years and turns 34 in April. Naturally his productivity is in decline. He suffered a torn triceps last season.

Ryan loves bringing in familiar former players and piped them in from Cleveland (including Coleman) when he got to Dallas. Most of them didn’t stick.

The TP’s Nakia Hogan is disputing the sign, claims a league source said it hasn’t happened.

Another solid signing, I’m interested in seeing where Jordan Cameron ends up in the 3-4. If/when Nnamdi signs, it’s over for the other 15 teams in the NFC.

Coleman was awful last year. Saints are welcome to him. Butler I will miss. That kid is a good pass rusher.

Hey we don’t need him to start we just need his brain really! He’ll help in training camp. I bet he’s a future coach!
