The Bears decided last month to cut defensive tackle Matt Toeiana after he refused to take a pay cut. But they still haven’t cut him.
So what are they waiting for?
According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears can’t cut Toeiana until he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery. Chances are they’ll deem him healthy before he earns a $290,000 roster bonus in June.
A six-year veteran, Toeaina appeared in only three games last season. He had 12 starts in 2011.
