Jaguars to host Sen’Derrick Marks

An unsigned member of PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100 is reportedly drawing some interest.

The Jaguars will host Titans UFA defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks, John Glennon of the Nashville Tennessean reported Monday. Marks ranks No. 68 in the Hot 100.

Terry McCormick of reported that Marks will be visiting two other clubs who are not yet known.

Marks, 26, started a career-high 14 games in 2012 for Tennessee, recording 41 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He was the Titans’ second-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

The Jaguars are undergoing some changes along the interior of their defensive line. Jacksonville released defensive tackle C.J. Mosley on Monday, and Terrance Knighton signed with Denver early in free agency.

And when do they host D’Jasper Probincrux III and Tyroil Smoochie-Wallace?

Didn’t realize that he was a Senator.

Marks is about the same size as Sharrif Floyd, with better combine results and much better college production. I’d hate to see the Jags waste that high draft pick on Floyd.

If Marks’ Mom named him Sen’Derrick with future political aspirations in mind, those were likely quashed by his score of 12/50 on the Wonderlic test. Around what you’d expect from the law of averages if you just chose option A on every question.

Unlike Gabbert, it appears that Sen’Derrick can actually play and that the Jags actually want him. Let’s see how the season goes.
