Giants looking at Anthony Armstrong, too

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Washington Redskins Getty Images

Add another name to the list of free agents who’ll be visiting with the Giants on Tuesday.

In addition to running back Tim Hightower, quarterback Pat White, and defensive tackle Mike Patterson, the Giants we’re told also are taking a look at receiver Anthony Armstrong.

A three-year veteran, Armstrong bounced from the Redskins to the Dolphins to the Jaguars to the Cowboys in 2012, two seasons after starting 11 games for the Redskins.

As a rookie, he had 44 catches for 871 yards and three touchdowns.  Since then, Armstrong has had 10 total catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns.

It’s unclear whether the Giants have a real interest in signing Armstrong, or whether they just needed a receiver to catch passes from Pat White.

LOL. Like I said earlier this morning. The Giants are literally a junkyard. They love Ex Redskins. They want the greatness of the rich tradition here in DC to rub off on them. Not gonna happen. #TheWashingtonRedskinscannotbeduplicated

We have 4 Super Bowls, you have 3. We win.

Congrats on your playoff loss and ACL-torn QB, though.

if the reports are true that the niners are planning on offering cruz a contract, the gints may be looking to back fill that position.

I usually don’t like to respond to plain outright ignorance, but this tool needs some real help.
The Redskins have a richer tradition than the giants? Wow! Do you realize there was football before you were born and the Giants have been relevant long before your team in DC. (I won’t say their team name since I am part Native American). Plus they have won far more championships and Super Bowls. Please put down the pipe it’s clouding your judgement.

Care to cite your sources? I’ve heard nothing about the 9ers being interested in Cruz and I follow them as much as anybody. No team is going after these tendered players, but I think the Vikes should go after Cruz. The 9ers have little cap room to pay Cruz and they soon have to resign Crabtree; your statement is BS.

Why do people keep responding to logicalvoice?? He makes Skins fans look bad. He is wrong 99.9% of the time. Stop responding to him, peytonsneck18, and flavordave and this site will not turn to crap. I know some of you will read his post and start bashing RG3 for no reason, don’t. “Logicalvoice” does not speak for Redskins nation! HTTR!

You mean the nameless rumor that was thrown around like a month ago? There has been nothing on that front since that one surfaced. NOTHING. So unless you want to supply a source, enough of it.

Interesting the 9′ers would be looking at signing yet another ex Giant. Why? The 9′ers, on the cusp of a Super Bowl victory, wisely look at the players that come from a championship organization that produces winners. Let’s look at the division championship history:

Eagles – Always in it, never seem to win it. In rebuilding mode, anything can happen.

Cowboys – No SB wins in the current millenium. Probably won’t be any soon – Jerry Jones.

Redskins – Owned by a Jerry Jones wanna-be, lost in the 1st round of the playoffs with a one trick pony injured QB. Haven’t won anything in the current millenium either.

Keep in mind that the Giants’ division rivals won their Super Bowls before flat screen TV’s, high definition, computers, NFL channel or live streams. I understand you can watch highlights of your Super Bowl wins by ordering notebooks from that era and fast fliiping the ends of the pages and watching the stick figures act out the play.

NFC East IS the New York Giants!

I am no sure why all the trash talking between Redskin fans and Giant fans? We are just talking about Anthony Armstrong. We was never a major threat as a Redskin and he will add no value to the Giants. Any trash talk should be left on the field from the Monday night game last year. HTTR!

RGIII wooped every team in the NFC East mostly with one good leg. There is a reason you are looking up at us now. Get use to it for the next ten years snitches.

  20. thesmartestmanever says: Apr 3, 2013 12:03 AM

Giants you got turned around son. that’s a sunset your looking at. we have proven we got your number. Eli is as close as he will ever get to elite. bring in all the receivers and D.ends you like. what you and every team in the east is hoping is that RGIII does not rehab completely. I promise you this these guys will rally around their leader this year even more than before. a healthy Garcon, with Davis, Morris, Moss and Hankerson. oh yeah our O-line that didn’t suck returns mostly intact. we got another pass rush specialist and our secondary doesn’t look too terrible. we are doing just fine in our nation’s capitol… Thank You very much. HTTR!!!!!!!

  21. gmen23 says: Apr 3, 2013 9:21 AM

LOL you Redskin fans are funny. You guys talk a lot of trash about a team that hasn’t won a superbowl since Art Monk was playing! Your “franchise” QB is one hit away from being crippled and yet you still think relevant. The spread option was a one year fluke. Do me a favor and win a SB in this Millenium and then talk trash until then SHUT THE F UP.

  22. blu4l1fe says: Apr 3, 2013 10:04 AM

I agree with the comment up there regarding non-response to trolls. And there are real Skin fans out there that are logical. But I’m sorry, it is just too hilarious and too tempting not to respond to all this skin fans predict and postulate regarding the skins apparent emergence and domination.

It is tooo funny! Reading their proclamation is kind of like saying, yes, the sleeper team made the playoffs last year, watch them dominate the league from this point on. IT is just real hilarious. How they don’t realize how ridiculous their predictions are.

And, it is really, really even funnier when, at the end of the season, their sitting at home watching someone else play in the playoffs instead of their so-called dominant skin. PLEASE!!! FAIL!!!

  23. thesmartestmanever says: Apr 3, 2013 1:11 PM

hey blu4l1fe, know what else is funny? how we went 5-1 in our division last year, and how we finished in the top of the league in rushing, passing yards per game and points scored per game. how we WON the division while your team sat around waiting for the division to be handed to them as if they deserved it. also what else if friggin hilarious is that no one has proven they can stop our attack yet all you dweebs keep talking how it’s a one year fluke. I don’t come on here and talk smack about your so-so team, it’s cheating owner or it’s 4th quarter interception throwing QB. yeah the Giants are a good team to say the least. yes I can count your Lombardis, but in the what have you done for me lately world that is the NFL you did not win the East in 2012….. we did
