The Jaguars moved to secure one of the better free-agent defensive tackles left on the market, agreeing to a one-year deal with Tennessee’s Sen’Derrick Marks. The club announced the move Tuesday afternoon.
Marks, 26, is entering his fifth NFL season. He recorded 41 tackles in 14 games (all starts) for the Titans in 2012. Marks was No. 68 in PFT’s 2013 free agent rankings, which were compiled before the start of the league year.
News of Marks’ agreement with the Jaguars comes not long after the Bills had announced they had signed free-agent tackle Alan Branch, who was No. 34 on PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100. The Marks and Branch deals leave Sedrick Ellis (No. 66) as the top unsigned tackle on the market in PFT’s rankings.
The Jaguars added former Buccaneers tackle Roy Miller earlier in free agency.
