The Eagles have shown a willingness to discuss dealing running back Dion Lewis, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Wednesday.
Lewis, a fifth-round pick in the 2011 draft, has been a reserve throughout his two seasons in Philadelphia. He has just 36 regular-season carries to his credit.
That lack of wear-and-tear, coupled with his age -- he doesn’t turn 23 until September -- are attributes that could be viewed as positives by another team.
Lewis is currently one of four backs on the Eagles’ roster, with starter LeSean McCoy and reserves Bryce Brown and Chris Polk the others.
