Broncos reserve running back Lance Ball signed his one-year tender offer from the club on Monday, the team said.

Ball rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown on 42 carries and added seven catches for 61 yards and a score in 2012 for Denver. The Broncos held the right to match any offer to Ball, who was a restricted free agent.

The 27-year-old Ball has spent the previous three seasons on the Broncos’ active roster as one of Denver’s backup tailbacks. He has rushed for 801 regular-season yards since entering the NFL in 2008.

With the draft a little more than two weeks away, Willis McGahee, Knowshon Moreno, Ronnie Hillman and Ball are the top four options at tailback for Denver. Veteran NFL writer Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post recently suggested the team is likely to add another runner.
