Under Nick Saban, it’s been much easier to list the names of Alabama football players who aren’t pro prospects than to keep up with the long list of guys who will make the leap from Saturdays in Tuscaloosa to Sundays in the NFL.

This year’s draft has a couple of former members of the Tide poised to go in the top 10 and both of those prospects were in Detroit on Monday. Tim Twentyman of the Lions website reports that guard Chance Warmack and cornerback Dee Milliner both visited with the Lions, who own the fifth overall pick later this month.

Both players would fit needs for the Lions, who could use both a starting guard and a starting cornerback as they try to rebound from their dismal finish in 2012. Both seem likely to be available when the Lions are on the board, but there’s enough interest in each player that it could work out the exact opposite way come draft day.

Milliner told Twentyman that the recheck of his shoulder in Indianapolis went “very well” and that his torn labrum is healing up well enough to keep him on track for camp this summer.
