NFL will reveal players attending draft on Wednesday

The NFL will announce the list of prospects attending the draft on Wednesday, the league said.

The prospects expected to be in New York for the draft, which begins April 25, will be released on NFL Network’s “Path to the Draft” telecast, which starts at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

In some ways, the announcement is another piece to the puzzle as draftniks try to get a handle on how Round One could play out on April 25. If a player is invited to Radio City Music Hall, it’s not an unhealthy indicator for his draft prospects.

The NFL’s announcement comes two days after the NCAA men’s basketball championship, one day after the women’s Final Four concludes and one day before first-round play begins at The Masters.

In short, it is placed on a nice little spot of real estate in the sporting landscape.

Like you expected anything else from the NFL.

    Manti had to be there! How can he possibly trust a phone call from somebody telling him he’s been drafted?

    @whatnojets:

    It is, but that ends at 2PM EST so the winner has a chance to make it to the Sizzler in time for the Early Bird specials.

    Riiiiight. Because the only precedence for that is Ray Guy some 40 years ago?

    He won some rings. How many did the Eagles have again…. oh that’s right.

    I want to see Lawrence Okoye there. Gil Brandt chooses the guys and he loves Okoye, so it’s possible. Makes all sort of sense since Lawrence is huge in Britain from his Olympic appearance last summer, and has a winning, charismatic, personality.
