The Seattle Seahawks brought in a quartet of quarterbacks to workout for the team on Monday as they try to find a backup for Russell Wilson.

When the workout was over, they signed a receiver instead.

Seattle signed Brett Swain to a two-year deal after catching passes from Tyler Thigpen, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and Seneca Wallace. Swain didn’t play in the league last season after being released by the San Francisco 49ers at the end of training camp.

In 2011 with the 49ers, he played in five games and caught two passes for 15 yards. His most productive season was in 2010 with the Green Bay Packers. He appeared in all 16 games for the team and caught six passes for 72 yards while predominantly serving on special teams.
