Bengals express interest in Bradshaw

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been taking a wait-and-see approach with running back Ahmad Bradshaw.  If they wait much longer, there may be nothing left to see.

Per a league source, the Bengals recently has expressed interest in Bradshaw.  A visit within the next week or two is possible.

Bradshaw visited the Steelers last month, but he left without a contract.  The Steelers plan to bring him in for further evaluation of his surgically-repaired foot.

The Packers and Broncos also have expressed interest in Bradshaw, a seventh-round pick in 2007 who rushed for more than 1,000 yards last season.  The Giants cut him in February.

Dollar for dollar, I’d rather have Bernard Scott back. Both are injury prone, Scott would be cheaper.

If ur just comparing price sure, but a healthy Bradshaw is worth way more than a healthy Scott. Bradshaw ran for over 1,000 and missed games! Bengals and ravens are the teams in that division now

sure the league is pass happy but you cant win without running the ball. this guy should be signed already.

Bradshaw would be nice in orange n black!! And I’m a Lions Fan better go get him Cincy..

I don’t get this. Bradshaw is not much of a change of pace from BJGE. The Bengals need a guy who is a threat to take one the distance and Bradshaw with his surgically repaired foot is not that guy.

I don’t think he will be worth it. I hope my Bengals don’t get him.

The Bengals are not going to sign any outside Free Agents…this is laughable.

Money talks, everything else can run a marathon.

i still cant believe the giants released bradshaw :( last year the giants offensive line SUCKED, he missed games, played injured and still got over 1000 yds. any team that gets him also get one if the best running backs at protecting the qb

  10. savvybynature says: Apr 10, 2013 9:24 PM

Guys that can take one the distance aren’t just sitting around waiting to be signed on the cheap, Cincybert.
Besides, the change-of-pace thing is cliche and stupid. Get the best running backs you can, don’t just go and sign someone because he is a “change-of-pace” back. If he sucks, who cares if he plays differently than your feature back, he still sucks! And if he’s good, who cares what style he uses to be good?

I still don’t understand why they cut him.

As a Giants fan I love this guy Jacobs was supposed to get the 1-2 yards TDs and firstdowns however Bradshaw was the man runs hard every play. Some team is going to get a great back who plays hard if he stays healthy he’s getting 1,000 yards he can miss some games and still get it

Chris Ivory is still available for a 2nd round pick. He’s a better option than Bradshaw.

  14. leggett17 says: Apr 10, 2013 10:58 PM

If only he could run without getting hurt.

  15. ajgreenshands says: Apr 10, 2013 11:14 PM

I would rather draft someone in the first few rounds and move in a younger direction though.

  16. steelersfever123 says: Apr 10, 2013 11:41 PM

    Steelers will still grab him.

  17. bux1022 says: Apr 10, 2013 11:49 PM

From a Giants fan Bradshaw is that dude. Bengals need some fire on the sidelines. Bradshaw has dealt with his two bad feet for his entire career. His numbers speak for themselves. Hate to see him leave!!

I wonder how his rehab is going? 2 weeks ago he declined to visit some teams because he wasn’t going to pass a physical.

I don’t know how a guy with as much heart and passion for this game is still unsigned. As for the guy comparing him to Scott, Bradshaw had 1,000 yards last year missing games. Scott had 1,000 total in the last 4 years

    the poor man’s walter payton.

No way the Bungholes spend the money.

  22. majikwen says: Apr 11, 2013 7:43 AM

Packers interest is, if nobody wants you, we’ll talk ……..

  23. justintuckrule says: Apr 11, 2013 10:11 AM

What did Bradshaw ever do to deserve having to play in cincy. I think I’d retire with my 2 rings if that awful franchise was my only option.

  24. redbengalnation says: Apr 11, 2013 6:30 PM

all you Bengal haters, keep on hatin.

  25. giantsfaninphilly says: Apr 11, 2013 8:55 PM

Bradshaw has the heart of a champion. All Giants fans hate to see him go. Pound for pound one of the most underrated players in the league. #44, miss you man!

  26. scoobies05 says: Apr 12, 2013 7:40 AM

whoever gets bradshaw gets a good player…if he can stay healthy. it will probably be cinci or green bay if they want him…pittsburgh has all their money tied up in plaxico.

  27. jhtobias says: Apr 12, 2013 4:08 PM

Why even bring the packers into this discussion if he wants more than a 10 dollar signing bonus than ted will pass
