The Bengals reportedly were interested in trading for linebacker Rolando McClain. They now have interest in another available linebacker.
Per a league source, Karlos Dansby is visiting the Bengals on Wednesday.
Cut by the Dolphins as Miami signed multiple free-agent defenders, Dansby hasn’t gotten many/any sniffs.
He has experience in both the 3-4 and 4-3 defense. It’s unclear whether the Bengals would play him inside or outside.
The Bengals also recently brought in free-agent safety Kerry Rhodes for a look-see. Signing either or both would fit with the team’s recent habit of letting the market soften before pouncing on veteran defensive players with recognizable names.
