Lane Johnson visiting the Jaguars

Oklahoma left tackle Lane Johnson has been tabbed by many as the third-best blocker in this draft, but he’s going to spend some time with the team which owns the second pick.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, Johnson is visiting the Jaguars today.

Johnson’s also spent some time with the Saints, who pick 15th, and that’s probably the floor for the athletic pass-protector.

If the Jaguars are looking with true intent, that’s perfectly reasonable. But if they’re trying to get out of the second slot, they need to make sure the entire league knows all the valuable commodities they’re looking at, to try to drum up a market.

This is Bradley & Caldwell doing due diligence with the entire top half of Round 1. They really want to move back and get a few more picks.

I think this guy may surpass Fisher as the second tackle taken. He is a heck of an athlete, and only got better the more he played tackle against elite competition. I’m not sold the Jags take a RT with the #2 pick, but I’m not against it either.

Guarantee you if he’s still around for the 11th pick he will be a Charger…..BTW you’ll love San Diego Lane

What’s with the blackface? I’m sure the veterans in the locker room will find that amusing.

if he wants to be camoflauged he won’t have to wear so much black face paint if the jags draft him. haven’t heard much about that franchise since 1997….

With KC, Jacksonville, Philly, Detroit, Arizona, San Diego and Miami all needing tackle help, plus teams like Buffalo, Arizona, Dallas, Chicago, etc needing interior line help I think we could see Joeckel, Fisher, and Johnson as three of the first 4-5 picks, with Warmack and Cooper going early too.

Love to see him a Saint, but at 15 it’s probably not gonna happen.
