Schedule announcement could be delayed

It widely has been believed that the NFL will release the 2013 regular-season schedule on Tuesday, April 16.

While that still may happen, we’re told there’s a chance that the announcement will now be delayed.

There isn’t much time that it can be delayed, if the NFL plans to release the schedule before the draft, which starts on April 25.

This year’s scheduling process has been complicated by the shifting of the Ravens’ season-opening game on Thursday, September 5.

Coincidentally (or not), a show dedicated to the schedule release has been removed from NFL Network’s online listings for April 16.

They must have realized that the Packers don’t have one of the top 3 easiest schedules for the umpteenth year in a row.

Rosh Hashanah begins on Wednesday evening the 4th. As I understood it the NFL does not want to play on that day.

Sf vs. sea Thursday night. Den vs. bal Sunday night?

Yes, commissioner Kraft wouldn’t allow the game to be moved to Wednesday Sept 4th.

Let me get this straight, the NFL will play on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Columbus Day and the death of JFK but NOT Rosh Hashana?

The only thing delaying the release is the NFL’s dumb azz attempt to make it a media event. Just post the stupid schedule on the web and be done with it.

The fact that they can’t move the game to Wednesday due to Rosh Hashanah is an absolute joke. Apparently Christmas and Thanksgiving aren’t important enough holidays…

Well, these comments are at least helpful in establishing the overlap between the “War on Christmas!/War on Traditional America!” crowd and anti-Semites.
