Chip Kelly hasn’t even put his team on a field yet, but he’s already found a few guys he didn’t need.

The Eagles released four players Thursday, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The biggest name of the lot was linebacker Ryan Rau, who spent last year on injured reserve after breaking his ankle in training camp.

That you’ve probably never heard of Ryan Rau should tell you about the rest of the list, as they also parted ways with wide receiver Ron Johnson, linebacker Marcus Dowtin and cornerback Chris Hawkins.
