Packers add receiver Sederrick Cunningham

The Green Bay Packers have spent another offseason adhering to their strategy of all but ignoring free agency.

Former Furman University wide receiver Sederrick Cunningham is the fourth free agent to sign with the Packers this offseason. All four were on the street at the end of last season. Cunningham joins tight end Matthew Mulligan, cornerback Loyce Means and kicker Giorgio Tavecchio.

Cunningham went undrafted last year and was not signed by any NFL team. He only caught 17 passes for 340 yards in his senior season at Furman. For his collegiate career, Cunningham caught 95 passes for 1,196 yards and seven touchdowns. He also had 66 kickoff returns for 1,549 yards and one touchdown.

  1. The Niners and Seahawks get their free agents from the Hall of Fame store, the Packers get theirs from the YMCA

  2. Packers dormant during free agency? Shocking! Love the overreaction around these parts whenever the Pack bring in a camp body to compete.

Niners and Seahawks, free agency and paper champs. Nothing to brag about.

  3. With Randal Cobb taking a more traditional WR role, the Packers need a KR. They are a dime a dozen, so why pay millions if you don’t have too?

  4. The Niners and Seahawks get their free agents from the Hall of Fame store, the Packers get theirs from the YMCA.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame would dispute that.

  5. STILL no #1 WR and no running game to speak of. Rodgers has to throw the ball on every play with no
O-line again this season. another 50
sacks this year if he make it threw the first 5 or 6 games

ddjesus: The Niners were physical champs and kicked the Packers arse so bad it knocked them 5 years back… then they got better through free agency this year… The Seahawks were about the same level as the Packers last year then they got better… and the Packers haven’t. I would say personnel wise worse, and bringing back the same crappy coaching staff also makes them worse.

Packers fans are so delusional… so here is your task: see how trying the same things while expecting different results works in 2013. It’s going to be a long year in Titletown.

  7. SF and Seattle may be getting better with their “dream” signings and the Packers may be “doing nothing,” and yet which of the three teams has won a Super Bowl lately? Hilarious how the holy coast fans talk as if they’ve been winning the Super Bowl every year. SF and Seattle better hope they win it this year, because soon their “Hall of Fame” rosters are going to be wanting a lot of money and some of them will be gone. With a good draft and a healthy roster the Pack isn’t going to have to take a back seat to anyone. Going to be a great year in Titletown – again.

————————————————————————————————————————————————- so the niners and the seahawks are the new dream teams???? not saying they are bad teams because they are both very good, but if you’s watched football for the last few years. this was how ted and mike built a superbowl championship team with 16 players on I.R. so calm down everyone the pack has some holes we know it but lets not get stupid… (5 years back???)

  9. Last time I checked, the RAVENS won the Super Bowl last year. The Packers, 49ers, or the Seahawks didn’t. Why did the Ravens win? Just like just about every team that has won for the last decade and a half – they won the playoff turnover margin. It’s easy to talk tough, but there’s simply no guarantee your team is going to hit that nail on the head come single elimination time no matter how many names you add to your roster. Playoff caliber teams are a back-up kick returner away from making tee-times.

  10. The Packers WR corps will be:

    Jordy Nelson
    James Jones
    Randall Cobb
    Jarrett Boykin
This guy or someone from the Draft.

And they’ll all have a great year.

Why? Because they have the best QB to ever play the game throwing them the ball.
