Florida State defensive end Bjeorn Werner ranks among the top prospects in the 2013 draft. His teammate at the same position would be there, too, but for a torn ACL suffered last November.
Cornellius “Tank” Carradine is recovering from that knee injury, and Carradine has yet to run for scouts. He plans to do so on Saturday. According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, the 49ers plan to be there.
Barrows calls Carradine a “legitimate possibility” for the 49ers with the 31st pick in the draft. Much of that depends on what they see when they see Carradine work out roughly five months after suffering a serious knee injury.
