Cribbs will take another physical for Cardinals

It only seems like Josh Cribbs has been a Cardinal for a month, but it appears it’s getting closer to actually happening this time.

According to Alex Marvez of, Cribbs is scheduled to re-take his physical for the Cards “in a few weeks.”

Cribbs might have signed with them a month ago, but the Cards wanted to wait for some time to pass after his knee surgery.

If they’re satisfied with his recovery from a torn meniscus, they’ll likely sign him after the draft.

Cribbs was the All-Decade kick returner for the 2000s for the Browns, but the Cardinals also envision a role on offense for him.

Assuming he finally signs, of course.

  1. Good luck to Mr. Cribbs. As a Ravens fan this guy has all the talent in the world. Would love to see him get the ball in space & make things happen.

  2. Browns could have been more creative with him. Wish he was still a Brown. Hope he does well in Arizona though.

  3. I will never understand how GM’s think, They do not make an offer to Josh who already said he would take less to stay in C-town, now they have to replace an unusual combination, they need a return guy for punts, Benjamin will do kick-off plus they now need to replace the best coverage guy on special teams, so you need 2 new players and lose 1 roster spot. Same with Dawson who was 38, they don’t make an offer and replace him with a 35 year old Graham who will do the kicks from 45 in and will add a “kick-off specialist” so refusing to make an offer they are replacing 2 spots with 4.

  4. I have not seen much of Cribbs but in highlights on espn. I have watched alot of Stephans-Howling and I think that the hyphan has more to offer than Cribbs. Cribbs couldn’t seem to get on the field as a wide out in Cleveland, how would you expect him to do so in Arizona? Hyphan was a good 3rd down back plus ran kicks back. Seems to me you get more with Hyphan than you do with Cribbs…
