PFT Live: Scott Pioli, mock draft picks 9-12

Scott Pioli AP

Scott Pioli won’t be running a draft this year, but his years of experience in war rooms make him an interesting man to talk to with just more than a week to go before the draft gets underway.

Pioli will join Mike Florio on Wednesday’s edition of PFT Live to talk about what teams will be doing in the coming days to put the final touches on their preparation for the start of the first round next Thursday. We’ll also get Pioli’s thoughts on some of the most intriguing prospects up for selection this year.

Florio will then move on to reveal the next four picks in the PFT Live mock draft. The Jets will be first on the clock with the ninth selection, although you’ll have to simulate the sound of the crowd at Radio City booing the selection all on your own.

You can watch it all live at noon ET.

What a joke. Why not just have Whitlock do this? He’s as smart as Pioli is.

^^ Because the segment is an hour long and Whitlock cant go more than 3 minutes without bringing race into the conversation.

I don’t know why anyone wold want to know who Pioli would select. He proved in KC that he doesn’t know how to draft.

KC had 5 pro bowlers and only 2 wins. How could anyone possibly blame the GM?

I love how a guy wins multiple super bowls and has won executive of the year multiple times and in both places he was in and he’s labeled an “idiot” by some football fans. If he’s an idiot, then all gm’s with lesser resumes are idiots as well.

He never won Executive of the Year in KC and it should be clear that the ones he won in New England were not because of him. Also of the 5 pro bowlers you mentioned only Eric Berry was drafted by Pioli. The guy was a joke and anyone who thinks otherwise wasn’t paying any attention.

The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league. His past work was not what the comment was based on.

Why is Mel Cooley talking about the NFL draft?

Scott Pioli won executive of the year in his first season in KC.
