The Titans placed running back Darren Evans on waivers Friday.
The 24-year-old Evans appeared in one game for the Titans in 2012. A quad injury ended his season. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent, signing with Indianapolis in 2011.
Evans (6-0, 232) rushed for 2,119 yards in two seasons (2008, 2010) with Virginia Tech. He missed the 2009 campaign with an ACL tear in his left knee.
Evans has appeared in three regular-season games. In all three games, he has played special teams, and his ability to help in that facet could be valuable if he is to get another NFL shot.
