DeAndre Hopkins has second visit with the Rams

Before the Rams selected wide receiver Brian Quick with the first pick in the second round after meeting with him twice in the days before the draft.

If history continues to repeat itself, you should prepare to see wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins trade in his Clemson uniform for a Rams one. Aaron Wilson of Scout.com reports that Hopkins will be having a private workout for the Rams on Monday, which comes four days after Hopkins closed out last week by working out for the Rams the first time. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reported over the weekend that the Rams are likely to take Hopkins or Tavon Austin of West Virginia with the 16th overall selection.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and other Rams coaches will put Hopkins through his paces on Monday. The dual meetings should also give the Rams plenty of time to address any concerns they might have about the trashing of the combine hotel room Hopkins shared with Rutgers wideout Mark Harrison in February.

If those questions are answered to their satisfaction and they like what they see on the field, Hopkins could be the pick as the Rams try to give Sam Bradford some more weapons after the departures of Danny Amendola and Steven Jackson.

Don’t poop on the field, Hop.

Wow that’s too high for DeAndre, not a great value for a team like the Rams that have loads of needs. And Tavon will be gone by then. If they want a WR with that pick then they need to trade up for one of the top 2, or trade back and target DeAndre or whoever else they like.

I will admit that I don’t watch as much college ball as I should because I’m an NFL guy. But I watched a bunch of games from Hopkins vs all the other top prospects. I think Dre is the top WR in this draft. He plays bigger than his height and has without question the best hands in draft. He may not be a top tier blazer speed but watch him fight for extra yards is special. If the Rams get him and he is what he looks like…They will be a playoff team.

Its easy to tell who doesn’t know him when they call him Hop or Dre. Hes name is Nuk Hopkins for all intents and purposes.

Its easy to hate on him because he doesn’t have the top notch speed like Austin but if you actually watch some of his games and how he takes over its something special what he does. He has by far the best hands in the draft and he has a special ability to bring in any ball thrown to him with a spectacular catch. Which is exactly what Sam Bradford wants and needs. Watch him before you hate on him. And I also doubt he did the hotel incident as he is as class act, I thought innocent until proven guilty? And from the looks of it he wont be proven guilty if he wasnt even at the hotel that night.

Dang it! I was hoping this guy will fall to the Vikings at 23 or 25. This guy is dynamite with the ball in his hands.

Hopkins will end up being the top WR in this draft.

Damn i was hoping they would target Patterson who everybody grossly forgets made a lot of his impact due to Justin Hunter commanding a ton of attention

They called him back because he left something behind after the first visit.

    His new nickname is “Yuk”.

Hopkins will be an excellent NFL WR for some team and perhaps the Rams. The real deal.
