Broncos bag Montee Ball

The Denver Broncos’ offense has another weapon.

Montee Ball, a running back from Wisconsin who is the all-time leader in touchdowns in major college football, was the Broncos’ choice with pick No. 58 in the second round of the NFL draft.

Ball proved in college that he can carry the load as an every-down back, but the Broncos’ offense is a whole lot different than the Badgers’ offense. At Wisconsin, Ball’s responsibilities basically consisted of taking the handoff and going. In the Broncos’ offense, Ball is going to need to block, recognize blitzes and catch passes out of the backfield.

If Ball can do all that, he’s going to be a great addition to look great in a Broncos uniform, lining up behind Peyton Manning.

How can he look good in a Donkey uniform? They are the ugliest in the league.

I love it! Lot of carries in college but, two fumbles in his career and most runs were ran right up the middle in a tough grinding conference with few injuries.

Silky smooth, strong runner. Just not a breakaway guy though

Denver looks to be the team to beat in the AFC. They were a brain fart away from beating the Ravens and have added great pieces

Bronco fans are going to love this guy. Watched him excel at UW, and you can’t go wrong with this class act. He will be a good back.

Now just figure out how to pronounce his name….. Montaaay or Monteee. We still don’t know here in Madison.

Montee is this year’s Kevin Smith. Way too many miles on him. He’s due to get seriously injured as well. Leave it to others to draft Ball for a fantasy team.

This guy is a steal and will be a heck of an addition

Look Oakland trolls, you of all people should not be commenting on draft busts. How many top 5 or 10 picks have you had in the last decade that aren’t on the roster? Just admire your dumpster fire and look forward to another off season where you can make dumb comments like “Go Big Reg” and “We could contend for the playoffs this year”. Oakland Raiders=Consistent off season SB champs

Do you guys remember when I said Le’veon Bell was a way better running back than Ball?
I guess several NFL GM’s agree.

I really like Ball, but I’m thinking about his 900-some carries that he did at Wisconsin. That’s a lot of mileage.

However, that’s about as many carries as Ladainian Tomlinson had in college, so the window isn’t closed on him having a long and productive career

Geez, while the miles on Ball are a concern a few years down the road, MDS could benefit from actually watching a UW game. “At Wisconsin, Ball’s responsibilities basically consisted of taking the handoff and going”. ?? Anyone who has seen him realizes, like Wilson last year, that he has a full grasp of the game and can support in all facets. Lazy analysis. Good luck Montee.

Yet another lousy move by horseface.
