The Denver Broncos’ offense has another weapon.
Montee Ball, a running back from Wisconsin who is the all-time leader in touchdowns in major college football, was the Broncos’ choice with pick No. 58 in the second round of the NFL draft.
Ball proved in college that he can carry the load as an every-down back, but the Broncos’ offense is a whole lot different than the Badgers’ offense. At Wisconsin, Ball’s responsibilities basically consisted of taking the handoff and going. In the Broncos’ offense, Ball is going to need to block, recognize blitzes and catch passes out of the backfield.
If Ball can do all that, he’s going to be a great addition to look great in a Broncos uniform, lining up behind Peyton Manning.
