Former Detroit Lions defensive end Lawrence Jackson appears to have a new home.
Jackson visited the Minnesota Vikings last week along with cornerback Jacob Lacey. The visit apparently left a good impression as Jackson tweeted out Thursday night that he would be joining the Vikings organization on a one-year deal.
I look forward to the opportunity to play for the Vikings and I'm blessed for the chance to continue to grow as a player.

Jackson said that the decision not to re-sign with Detroit had nothing to do with the Lions’ selection of BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah. He said he actually agreed to the deal with Minnesota Wednesday night long before the Lions drafted Ansah. He added that Detroit did offer him a deal but he elected to look around for additional options.
A former first round pick of the Seattle Seahawks, Jackson has 13 sacks in three season with the Lions.
