Eagles cut Evan Moore, add nine undrafted rookies

One veteran tight end is out and nine undrafted rookies have been added to the 90-man roster in Philadelphia.

The Eagles announced today that Evan Moore, a veteran tight end they picked up off waivers from the Seahawks late last season, has been released. Moore was a decent backup tight end for the Browns from 2009 to 2011, but he caught just one pass last year.

Philadelphia also announced the addition of a crop of undrafted rookies that includes defensive lineman Isaac Remington, who played for coach Chip Kelly at Oregon.

Also arriving in Philadelphia are former LSU punter Brad Wing, Iowa State linebacker Jake Knott, Stony Brook running back Miguel Maysonet, Arizona center Kyle Quinn, LSU receiver Russell Shepard, Alabama defensive lineman Damion Square, Iowa guard Matt Tobin and TCU running back Matthew Tucker.

He did serve the purpose of dropping a late TD pass in last year’s Redskins game to doom the Eagles.

Moore has hands of stone. He dropped multiple passes as a Seahawk so they cut him. The Eagles picked him up and apparently he wasn’t any better.

He’s got everything you’re looking for in a TE. Except that he can’t catch.

Not really sure why Brad Wing wasn’t drafted. I can understand not using a pick on a punter, but for the teams that do I thought he’d be at the top of the list.

Brad Wing wasn’t drafted because he’s kind of a head case. Very talented punter though, I hope he works out but if he doesn’t we haven’t lost anything.

Wing’s a degenerate. He’ll end up dead or in jail before he’s cut.

They got some nice UDFAs in Wing and Shepard. Solid signing class

wing is a monster, he played hurt last year hence weak numbers. scouts would be smart to start recruiting outside the u.s. (ziggy ansah, marcus hunt, brad wing)
