The Ravens have been busy on Thursday.

While they weren’t busy putting the finishing touches on a two-year deal with tackle Bryant McKinnie, they were signing the first member of their 2013 draft class. Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the team has signed defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, a sixth-round pick last weekend, to his four-year rookie deal.

Lewis-Moore is the first member of the draft class to sign a contract, but there’s a decent chance that he’ll be the last member of the group to play in a game for the Ravens or anyone else. Lewis-Moore tore his ACL in Notre Dame’s BCS championship game loss to Alabama in January and rehabbing that injury will be his first priority. General Manager Ozzie Newsome has already said that getting anything from Lewis-Moore, who had 12 sacks in his time with the Fighting Irish, this year would be “a plus,” so he’s likely ticketed for injured reserve.

It was a move for 2014 and beyond for Baltimore, in other words, and now the Ravens have Lewis-Moore signed for those years.
